Key Research Questions 2017-18

Can we identify buildings and other structures in Holyhead Harbour used by the navy in the First World War?

How many of these structures survive?

Where were the offices and other buildings used by the navy in the town of Holyhead?

Was there a system of wireless stations for intercepting German marine communications as there was on the coast of England?

In the later part of the war motor launches that helped the search for U-boats were based at Menai Bridge. Where were they based and which buildings and slipways were used?

Can you help us to answer these questions?
